Our nurturing nursery is staffed by two childcare workers at all times to comply with our Safe and Sacred Policy. Young children enjoy age-appropriate activities including music, story-telling, playdough, puzzles, drawing, painting, block building and Legos.
As time and the children's attention allow, story time follows an alphabet values format. For example, A is for appreciation and they read a story about how we can appreciate the ways in which we are alike and different. B is for butterfly and they read Eric Carle's, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, then talk about how trying new foods can help us grow and be healthy. They will continue adding new letters as they have conversations that affirm our values.
There is a rocking chair in the room. Snack is provided. Children are encouraged to interact with one another. Our youngest members enjoy our time together and look forward to coming to our program.
