REV. ARLIN ROY
After graduating from Goddard College, Arlin Roy attended the Martin Luther King, Jr. School for Social Change and graduated from the Stevens-Gesner Project to Prepare Candidates for the Unitarian Universalist Ministry. He received Pastoral Care, Pastoral Psychotherapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Group Psychotherapy certificates from Blanton-Peale Institute, a Master of Social Work degree from Yeshiva University, and a Certificate in Supervision of the Psychoanalytic Process from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health.
Rev. Roy taught and supervised for fifteen years at Blanton-Peale Institute in New York City, a postgraduate psychotherapy training institute, and is Co-Director of Northeast Counseling Center and past President of the Foundation for Religion and Mental Health.
In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work Rev. Roy is a Clinical Fellow in the American Association of Marital and Family Therapy, a recognized Psychotherapist with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, and has Full Fellowship in Unitarian Universalist Parish and Community Ministries.
Rev. Roy has published in popular periodicals and professional journals ranging from The New York Times and Critical Mass to Journal of Contemporary Psychotherapy, Journal of Religion and Health, and Group: Journal of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society.
