Director of REligious Education
Tracy is the part-time Director of Religious Exploration (DRE) at First Unitarian Society of Westchester, and serves the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Westchester in Mt. Kisco, NY in the same capacity. In addition, she is a Good Officer for the Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA). Previously, she was Coordinator of Religious Education at Fourth Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Westchester in Mohegan Lake, NY, and interim DRE at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Hudson Valley in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. She holds graduate degrees in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, and Political Science, and is teaching faculty in the Sociology Department of John Jay College of Criminal Justice/CUNY. Barbara Montrose was raised in Michigan then moved to Massachusetts in 1998 to attend law school. After graduating and practicing law for a short time, she joyfully transitioned to college professor and academic administrator, and a decade later to family service and community outreach. In 2014, she moved to New York with her husband. She served as a substitute teacher in White Plains and Port Chester before taking time off for the first year of her daughter’s life. In addition to being the FUSW on-site administrator from 1:00am-5:00pm on Wednesday and Friday, Barbara also serves as the Religious Education Coordinator at UUC Stamford, CT.
